George C. Marshall High School Names New Boys Head Soccer Coach
George C. Marshall High School is proud to announce the appointment of its new Varsity Boys Head Soccer Coach, Mr. David Rozmiarek, a passionate and experienced leader who brings a deep-rooted love for the game and a proven track record of dedication to the Statesmen soccer community.
With over a decade of competitive playing experience and five years of high school coaching—three of which were spent successfully leading the Boys Junior Varsity program at Marshall—Mr. Rozmiarek is no stranger to the pitch or the culture of Statesmen athletics. He most recently served as the Head Coach of both the JV Boys and JV Girls teams, where his leadership helped foster a strong team identity, technical development, and a positive athletic environment for student-athletes.
A lifelong soccer enthusiast, his playing career includes ten years with the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club and four standout years at Jamestown High School, where he was a multi-time All-District, All-Region, and All-State selection and served as a senior team captain. He later went on to lead Radford University’s Club Soccer program as president, demonstrating both his organizational leadership skills and his continued passion for the game.
"Coaching at Marshall has always been about more than just the game," said the new head coach. "It’s about creating a culture where players feel valued, supported, and proud to represent their school. I’m honored to continue that tradition and excited for the future of Statesmen soccer."
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Mr. Rozmiarek has been a Health and Physical Education teacher at Marshall High School for four years.
The Marshall athletic community is confident that under his leadership, the Boys Varsity Soccer program will continue to thrive both on and off the field. His appointment follows the departure of longtime coach Patrick Ander, who offered his full support for the transition: “Marshall soccer is in great hands. His commitment, knowledge, and heart for the players are unmatched.”
The entire George C. Marshall High School community extends its congratulations and support as he takes on this new and exciting role.
