George C. Marshall High School Announces Hiring of New Head Tennis Coach
Falls Church, VA — George C. Marshall High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Mustafa Sayd as the school’s new Head Girls Tennis Coach, effective immediately. Coach Sayd brings decades of athletic, coaching, and leadership experience to the Marshall tennis program, along with a strong commitment to student development and teamwork.
Coach Sayd is currently serving as the Boys Volleyball Assistant Coach at George C. Marshall High School, a role he has held since 2024, and has been a volleyball coach at The St. James since 2022. His coaching background also includes experience as an assistant tennis coach at Justice High School (2000–2001) and as a Fairfax County Recreation tennis coach, working with both adults and youth.
In addition to his local coaching experience, Coach Sayd has an extensive competitive athletic background. He served as team captain of the King Abdul-Aziz University volleyball team from 1984 to 1988 and was a member of the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia volleyball team earlier in his athletic career. His long-standing involvement in athletics reflects a deep understanding of discipline, skill development, and team culture.
Beyond athletics, Coach Sayd brings a unique global perspective shaped by a distinguished career in linguistics and cultural advisory work. His professional background includes over 20 years of linguistic experience and more than 38 years of cultural and language study, further enhancing his ability to connect with and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
